Since its inception, BTNEP has been a leader in research, education, and outreach. BTNEP works to identify gaps in data and understanding and provides resources for stakeholders to better understand the unique interaction of culture, ecology, and economy that exists in the Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary. Here, you can download posters, videos, lessons, and publications that educate and entertain. Hard copies of many of our products can be requested by contacting the BTNEP Program Office.
Each year, BTNEP produces educational calendars that highlight the estuary's unique ecology and history. Past calendars have told stories of historic landmarks, beautiful birds, and local culture. Here, you can download the latest calendar and those from years past.
BTNEP strives to produce timely and relevant lesson materials for formal and informal educators. Most lessons are aligned with Louisiana GLEs. Lessons, worksheets, and workbooks can be downloaded here. Visit our videos portal to view and download videos that accompany many of the lessons.

BTNEP and our partner organizations conducted research to support the development of the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan. That resulting reports and publications are useful tools in understanding the complex social and ecological dynamics within the estuary. Today, BTNEP continues to work to develop publications that help to inform residents, industry, and planners.
